About Us
We are an independent vehicle mechanical repair centre, we specialise in all makes and models. All of our team are fully qualified and factory trained, and their many certificates are on display in our reception area. At Nuffield Motors we believe staff should have regular technical update courses on vehicle diagnostics and electronics to make sure as a team we can provide you with the best possible service. We are open 5 days a week from 8:00am to 5:00pm weekdays.
Simon Carkeet and Nigel Allen founded Nuffield Motors Ltd in 2006, with over 50 years experience between them. They both realised that car owners were becoming increasingly disillusioned with the high prices and impersonal service that have become synonymous with many main dealers. After a 14 year partnership Nigel decided to retire on the 31st October 2020.

I started my mechanics apprenticeship at English Ford, then moved to Hendy body carrying out all mechanical work including complete shell changes. After 3 years I moved to GRS Recovery carrying out roadside diagnostics and repairs. In 2000 I moved to Penton Citroën where I worked for 6 years before deciding with Nigel Allen to open our own garage. Nigel retired in 2020.
